Rambled on Plurk as I watched, but this is def. the kind of ep I wanna do a second commentary on...

I really loved Mercedes in this one. She was awesome, and I loved that she stood up to Santana and was reasonable and tried to be fair.

Loved Blaine and his <333 eyes at Kurt

Loved Kurt's campaign. I would vote for you, Kurt. And it's a much better campaign than, omg obesity. I feel really uncomfortable with some scrawny kid being all concerned~*~ about the fat kids. If it'd been a campaign against junk food and how they should have healthy choices (healthy all around, not just less fattening), it would've been different.

Loved how Rachel gave up her campaign. It made me wibble so hard, and I didn't even remember they'd argued over the stupid election before |D; /just cries too easily

Burt is flawless as usual. And the ads for him were so utterly ridiculous, ahaha. I missed Sue being actually funny. IT SHOWS THAT YOU CAN ADD BURT TO ANYTHING AND IT WILL CATCH HIS AWESOME :||||||

Loved most of the songs o3ob

Hated Quinn sfm. Omfg. A cash whore? Seriously? Fuck you.

On the other hand, I kinda loved Puck. He's being an idiot kid, but he was charming and sweet and did the right thing by telling Shellby of Quinn's real intentions.

Okay, and now for the big issues in the episode.

I hate Santana. No, really, I do. Whenever she's not with Brittany? She's an abusive, horrible, vicious asshole. She even is like that when she's with her. And don't give me this I HAVE REPRESSED FEELINGS!1 bullshit. So did Karofsky, and nobody thought his bullying and harrassment was okay because of it. Santana going out of her way to call Finn a whale all week? Is horrible, and we know Finn had issues with his body so it's even worse. I don't care if she omg doesn't really mean it~*~ That kind of shit GETS TO YOU. So fuck that, and fuck her for always fucking getting away with that.

Specially this time. That dodgeball thing? What the fuck? They fucking beat up Rory and made him bleed and LAUGHED ABOUT IT. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?! HOW THE FUCK DID THAT HAVE ZERO CONSEQUENCES? The kid had done NOTHING and he ended up curled up trying to shield himself while these assholes hit him and laughed! Seriously, how the fuck did this not end up with her being AT LEAST talked to by some authority?

And then the whole outing thing, which is horrible, covers all that up. It doesn't matter how much she attacked others, it doesn't matter if she ganged up on a kid and hurt him and laughed about it, none of that will even be remembered. Because of the incident at the end.

And then that some asshole would go and use that for that video is atrocious. I felt no sympathy for Santana when Finn talked to her (I was mad at Finn, but after that unprovoked ramble that went on to insult every single thing about him, I could not muster any sympathy for Santana whatsoever), but for the video, god yes. Her, I didn't even tell my parents yet, was just heartbreaking. And it's disgusting and beyond horrible that an adult would use a kid like that, what the fuck. It was telling of just HOW AWFUL it was that even Sue fucking apologized (and it seemed heartfelt and honest).

But I hate the plot. I hate that we can have Karofsky suspended, get into fights with the Glee kids, and shown as being horrible for his bullying, but since Santana's wittier and "funny", it doesn't matter!11 We should just laugh!!1 It's like. No, fuck you. She's pretty much a female version of him and the show FAILS TO ADDRESS THIS AT ALL EVER. I hate it so fucking much.

And I can't even be truly mad at her because the stuff at the end was so, so awful. Her slap at Finn and the way she reacted was heartbreaking.

Damn it, Glee. ... I really wonder how the hell they'll follow this up.

THANK YOU. For all that Finn did something wrong, let's not forget who's really doing the outing and smearing. It's not Finn. It's this random asshole who's putting everything on TV.

(Also, seriously How the hell is this supposed to work when Burt has a gay son? Or does the random asshole just not consider Burt a threat?)

Idk, maybe because Burt doesn't work at the school? ;; Or they think the LOL HE'S PART MONKEY angle is more effective :|a

Hey, kinda random, but since we're talking about the Random Asshole who did this...

Couldn't Santana even sue them for outing her like that and using her image without her consent? I find it hard to believe someone can JUST DO THAT and have no consequences whatsoever :/ It's one thing with Sue vs Burt, they're both candidates. But a random student who has nothing to do with it all?

I was wondering about that, too. More than that, she might still be considered a minor? I know nothing about law, though. But it wouldn't surprise me either way.

As of right now, it's just the advance copy, so it hasn't been aired. I imagine it will be, but it would make sense if Burt called this guy up and stopped it that way.

I'm pretty sure she could, but if she's under 18, she'd have to have an adult press charges for her, iirc.

Santana provides me with endless laughs most of the time, but yeah, she is a huge dick to others, and I don't get how she gets a free pass when she shits constantly on them.
Yes, we do get it that she is insecure and afraid to get out of the closet and possibly a rejection from Brittany but that doesn't give a right to fuck everyone else.
Finn was mistaken calling her out in public like this, but the hate he is getting right now from the majority of the fandom is inexplicable.

She really doesn't make me laugh at all. She's betrayed the club a billion times and continues to lash out and viciously and maliciously insult and attack everybody in it all the time for no reason other than because she can, and getting a free pass because of her sexuality issues. When Karofsky never got a free pass on it, and he didn't have a whole group preaching acceptance and standing up for him, he was involved with the awfully homophobic usa!football team.

When she uses her mean-ness for good - when she stops Rachel from thinking she owns the glee club, or stops people from being assholes to Brittany - that's much more bearable. I can support that much more, and it seems less mean-spirited and more like her being sassy while dealing with bs she doesn't like. But the random, uncalled for insults and shit? Fuck that.

Yep. Specially when nobody hated on Brittany for outing her on the internet, for example. I think that, while Finn's actions were inexcusable and he was a fucking privileged asshole to her, people're forgetting he did not make or distribute that video.

The one thing that made me go really upset last night, was when they were beating up Rory and enjoyed it. That was fucked up and no one really seemed to give a shit about it, except Kurt.

That part disturbed me so much. Even moreso because it's Rory and he's been nothing but a sweetheart so far (if maybe a little creepy/condescending towards Brittany). He feels so utterly non-threatening, and yet they fucking ganged up on him and beat him up like that and laughed. Even after they'd already won.

It is.
And what is more disturbing is, that most of the fandom was like POOR SANTANA /that was trending on twitter btw/ SHE IS NOTHING LIKE KAROFSKY SHE NEVER HIT FINN OR RACHEL BLAH BLAH
Like, you only need to hit someone in order to bully them. Sigh

B- but. she did. SHE HIT A KID UNTIL HE BLED.

and fuck everything, taunting and mocking and humilliating others is just as bad as hitting them

/well yeah, I was just referring to the Fin-scenario.

Well, double standards i guess; and I really hope Santana apologizes next epi, because if the writers decide to toss it aside and everyone is happy with Santana and Santana is happy with them, is just plain wrong.
At least, Bartowski who was also being a huge malicious dick, apologized in the Prom epi to Kurt, that ought to count for something. They better have Santana apologize too, cause if not, then I'm not sure if she is better than Bartowski.

Yeah it's this... really weird double-standard. Not just considering verbal abuse less important, but also... idk. Acting like if you're witty enough about it, you can treat everybody like shit. Or like it's okay because Santana's a girl and girls are meant to be "bitchy". Or something.

Yep. Not only did he grow to understand how horrible he'd been - he was also shown as being wrong about the bullying the whole time. His attitude and actions were a BIG DEAL and it was clear that the series was very much against this sort of thing.

Yet with Santana, it seems that it's shown as being "funny", or excusable. I don't get it.

lol, fuck, I was watching Chuck-series as I was replying and mixed the last names, eeeer, I meant Karofsky obviously.

But yeah, pretty much what you said. Idk, I remember at some point in S2 where Zizes called out Santana on her bullshit and called her a bitch and Santana replied that she keeps it real and she is hilarious (and that's why she gets a free pass apparently), so that's how the writers see it probably or smth.
Which is wrong, because she's walking pretty much in the same line as Karofsky did, yet the response on respective actions is different.
